Frequently asked questions

What the product does, what it doesn't, and where the data comes from.

Product

Why use this instead of a generic task manager?
A generic task manager tracks tasks; YouManage runs the research project. The brief, nine research phases, fieldwork metrics, quota balance and budget tracking are first-class data — not custom fields or a plugin. The task management side stays familiar: board, sprint, list.
Are research phase and task status the same thing?
No, deliberately separate. A task can be in the Fieldwork phase while its status is To Do. The phase says where the project is; the status says where that piece of work is.
Can I use Kanban and Scrum together?
The workflow is chosen per project. A Kanban project gets the board and list; a Scrum project also gets the backlog and active sprint views. Both kinds can live in the same workspace.
How are task keys generated?
From the project key and a sequence number: RES-101, RES-102. The number is sequential and unique within the project, and won't collide even when two people create a task at once.

Data and integration

Where do the fieldwork metrics come from?
From the linked YouReply fieldwork campaign: target and completed responses, screen-outs, drop-outs, quality rejections, average duration, quota breakdowns and cost. Each refresh stores a new snapshot rather than overwriting, so you can see how the pace changed.
Is survey and analysis data stored here too?
No. The survey lives in YouSurvey and the analysis in YouAnalyze. YouManage points at them and shows the last known status, with one click through to the record.
How is the health score calculated?
Five factors, twenty points each: schedule (estimated completion against planned), fieldwork progress (actual against what elapsed time implies), quota balance (the worst-lagging quota's gap), data quality (rejection rate) and budget (spend against progress). The calculation is open and deterministic, and each factor's reasoning sits next to the score. An unknown factor isn't penalised — it drops out of the scoring.
Can duplicate alerts appear?
No. There is one alert row per condition, and every refresh updates that same row. When the condition clears, the alert closes by itself; if it recurs, the same row reopens.

Account and access

How do I sign in?
With your central YouReply account. YouManage doesn't keep a separate password; it shares the same session as YouSurvey, YouAnalyze and YouIntelligence.
What are the roles?
Admin, Project Manager and Team Member at the workspace level. Projects add Lead, Contributor and Viewer. A Viewer can't change anything — that's how stakeholder access is modelled. Authorisation is enforced on the server.
How do I add members?
In the central account app. Anyone added to your account appears in the member list the first time they sign in to YouManage, and you manage their role here.

Pricing

What can I do on the free plan?
Two active projects, three seats and the whole research template: brief, nine phases, fieldwork metrics, quota tracking, health score and alerts. What makes the product distinctive is open on the free plan too.
Is pricing per seat?
No, per workspace. Research teams are small and inviting a stakeholder shouldn't raise the cost — the product's value is precisely that the stakeholder sees the same picture.
Is there a discount for paying annually?
Annual billing gives two months free: you pay for ten months and use twelve.
